Career in the Entertainment Industry
During her time at Laguna Beach High School, Cavallari was cast in the MTV reality show “Laguna Beach: The Real Orange County.” Her appearance on the show, which started during her junior year, highlighted her tumultuous relationship with senior student Stephen Colletti, leading to a compelling love triangle involving fellow cast member Lauren Conrad. In 2017, Cavallari established the jewelry brand Uncommon James in Nashville, Tennessee, which not only specializes in jewelry but also offers a home goods line. As of July 2019, the company had amassed a revenue of $20 million and employed ninety individuals. The journey of unveiling her flagship store was prominently featured in the first season of “Very Cavallari,” with subsequent seasons showcasing the operations of Uncommon James, including insights into some of the company’s employees. Additionally, Kristin launched a children’s clothing line named Little James.

The couple acquired a 20,000 square-foot mansion situated on 8.6 acres in Nashville, Tennessee, for $5.3 million in 2012. Initially listed for sale at $7.9 million in June 2019, they eventually reduced the price to $5.75 million and then to $4.95 million by May 2020.
Additionally, in 2018, they invested in a 35-acre estate in Franklin, Tennessee, for $4.3 million, featuring a 10,000-square-foot mansion with eight bedrooms and baths in Leiper’s Fork, an upscale neighborhood approximately 40 minutes outside Nashville.
